  1. I Enrique Montano from period 3 agree with Mr.Eebert.We cannot stereotype a whole race just because a small section of their race did a bad act agaisnt the U.S.A. I agree with americans that its not the appropriate place to build a muslim religious building but how i see it if they dont want them to make it there then they should offer them another place.

I have to admit, Mr. Ebert has a point when he says, "The First Amendment comes down to this: I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I had a negative first response to the Muslims wanting to build their mosque near ground zero. This was because I know for a fact that 9/11 is still in the hearts of many Americans. Those Americans deserve respect, especially if they lost friends or family in that tragic accident. But now that I realize that the U.S is built on laws that govern the people. I take into consideration the natural rights of humans, of which the First Amendment takes part in. Even if I disagree with the mosque being built on ground zero, Muslims HAVE THE RIGHT to build it there, and that's where it ends.

I have a mutual stand point. Protected by the First Amendment, the Muslims have the right to build their Mosque on Ground Zero or wherever they choose. But, I also agree with the majority of Americans that it is morally wrong and the Muslims should find elsewhere to build the Mosque. IF the Mosque was to be built on Ground Zero, they should be aware that they are just causing tension and problems against the American people who suffered tragic losses on 9/11.

First of all i think the Muslims have the right to build thier Mosque on Ground Zero because this country guarantees freedom of religion. I think that there is a huge conflict about this because of 9/11. If a buddist or other religion other than a muslim wanted to build a church i can bet that the government and america wouldnt have a problem with it. But also i agree with Jessica M.P2 if they do build the mosque then there will be tension between the muslims and the people against this mosque. Someone could start a riot whihc could get lots of people hurt.

So when I first heard about the Mosque the Muslims wanted to build at Ground Zero, I didn't oppose. Now however, I am undecided. I am not sure if to be against it or in favor of it. I know many Americans see this as a disrespect because of the 9/11 attack, but what if it wasn't the Muslims? Muslims are also protected by the First Amendment so they have the right to build their Mosque in the place they choose. No matter who is against the builing of the mosque there, the Muslims have the right to build it there.. how Viri said.

I think that people should no hate on people just because a certain group from their race did something horrible,it is not the fault of the other people. I think that people should let them build the Mosque where ever they want. Although I believe that it is right to let them build it where ever they want, I know that it will cause a lot of problems so they should not build it. It will cause problems especially for them the muslims.

I think that the Muslims have the right to build a mosque near ground zero. The only problem is if the other non-Muslims groups that are still affected by 9/11 attacks. People need to distinguish the difference between the radicals and the moderates. It would be like us if the Radical Republicans take office and another nation belives that everyone is the same. It would nkot matter if they are Democrats. We will all take the blame for what a few did to another nation.

I think the Muslims have the right to built there church. Its not like they were the people that planed to kill all thoes peoeple on 9/11.
Its just like telling them to leave if they could not build there church. Its not far for them because we have build are church why can't they.I say they should Build it but in a different place.
