I think That in Arizona they are just defenetly going over the limit that is not acceptable how they are accting against the people, how would they feel if evrything being done was instead the opposite way.? Know they would not agree on that.

the excuse they are giving(AZ)about taking the studies away because they formulate "resent" towards a race is idiotic. It's like saying lets take away all that history about slavery.

Regarding the article about Arizona's governor passing a bill which prohibits Public schools to teach about colored ethnic studies, I strongly disagree. People have the right to believe or learn whatever they wish. If one has the eager and will to learn about their own culture then they should have the right to study about it in school. Many people feel strongly about their background and will not have the opportunity from those who do learn about their history like white people.

  6. Are you kidding me, AZ can't just censor history. Not everyone is going to be an extremist when learning about their ethnic culture. If anything by being denied such studies would probably lead to more animosity than unity.AZ just needs to lay low right now, such big plans aren't helping them out in public opinion polls I'd imagine.

This law that is enforced in the Arizona schools is crucial. People should have the right to learn about their history, we can't block out the history and forget were we come from and our own race. Arizona is really looking bad right now...

This law, is just wrong in so many ways. Being proud of ones culture and ethnicity is essential to success in life, you can't be successful if you don't know who you are! For them to ban ethnic studies, just shows how paranoid and xenophobic these people are. They think we are going to "overthrow" the government, please, America does so much for us, why would we want to jeopardize it? Our history is a part of who we we are, and while we are American, we are also Chicano, and proud of it. Those who do not learn history are condemned to repeat it. I am so blessed to be living in California, to all those people suffering in Arizona, my condolences.

  9. There is no way they can just take people's learning about history or culture. People have the rights to learn about history. It's one of those thing you must learn in order to get by in life. AZ are putting themeselves in a bad postion.

I think that the state of arizona is taking it too far with all these racist laws that they are trying to pass, like what are they trying to prove? all this is causing is resentment towards this state from minorities and if she thinks she is sending a positive message well she's not
